Who is the new Dabawenya? Define and provide the concept of a new Dabawenya.

A new Dabawenya represents the empowered women of our society, strong and able to take on risks and challenges of the changing world. She stands out among the rest with her great personality, completely packed with beauty and intelligence but still grounded with the core values of simplicity and humility. She can perform multiple tasks and fulfill different roles yet still end up accomplished and successful. Thus, she is a responsible, independent, confident and competent woman ready to empower other women as well.

What are the issues and concerns confronted by the new Dabawenya?

Our society is confronted with a lot of social problems in terms of Political, Socio-economic, Environment, Health care and a lot more. All of these are issues and concerns of a Dabawenya. Because all of these issues are interrelated as they produce a chain reaction in our ecosystem.

What programs and advocacies can you suggest as a response to these issues? Issues related to question number 2.

"Social change through women Empowerment." Problems can be solved if many people would take part and take action. However, Human Resource cannot be maximized since people are concerened with their own personal issues. So the key is, to empower a sector and later create an awareness on how they can participate in the overall change that we would like to achieve.
